To begin with you need to feed the start and end points. I planned to travel from Delhi to a town called Theni in Southern Tamil Nadu. I am surprised by the accuracy of the results. The tool performs some permutations and combinations and displays all the possible results. By default, the results are displayed sorted by their Route Rank which is based on the combination of travel convenience, duration and cost.
RoutePlanner is straight forward and user friendly and could be very helpful to plan your travel to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in India. The tool is currently in Beta stage and uses Google Maps API to gather information.
